Mike Fisher

Nashville Predators' Mike Fisher - one of NHL's most outspoken Christians – admits that the lifestyle of hockey can be a challenge to his faith. "Maintaining a godly testimony is never easy. The ups and downs of the season, especially with injuries, force me to trust in God no matter what."

In order to keep his attitude right, Fisher tries to maintain quality time with God every day.

Fisher says, "I need to keep on my toes spiritually, and I must get into the Word to be fed." Fisher was moderator chair for Roger's House, a cancer care facility. He also assisted with hockey camps for Hockey Ministries International, and every summer hosts a golf tournament for Youth for Christ. On top of his charity work, Fisher's been able to share his faith closer to home. "I wait to see where God's working and try to be there for the guys," he says. "We all have so many issues to deal with in pro hockey that it's helpful to see what the Bible says about handling things. I just want to be a light for the Lord."
